Greater Lansing Area Event Organizers
517 Living has a networking group for Greater Lansing Area Event Organizers (GLAEO)! The goal of the group is to connect and support locals who are involved in organizing, hosting, or promoting community events in Michigan’s Greater Lansing Area. Anyone who has any kind of “behind-the-scenes” role in community events is welcome in the group and is invited to host a free, private, in-person gathering for the other members of the group. These events don’t need to be elaborate, but feel free to be as creative as you like! The goal is for our group to have one in-person gathering per month.
Anyone who attends one of our in-person meetups is welcome to post event-related content in our private Facebook group.
If you’d like to host an in-person gathering for our group, here are the details:
YOUR ROLE: FULLY organize and lead a free, private event for Greater Lansing Area Event Organizers. Be creative, have fun with it, invite your fellow event organizer connections - you’re the boss. This is a great opportunity to showcase your business, venue, or upcoming event!
517 LIVING’S ROLE: We’ll create event pages for our community calendar and Facebook group and send you the RSVPs.
EXAMPLE: Host a simple meet and greet with an activity at your own venue or favorite coffee shop. The details are 100% up to you. Are you an expert at something (e.g., yoga)? Feel free to teach us about it! Food and beverages are a good way to boost event appeal.
